World Boxing in the Fifties
by Brian Zelley
* As we look throu the pages of
boxing history in the fifties
there were many great ring wars and quality boxers from
Rocky Marciano, Sugar Ray
Robinson, Sandy Saddler
and Dado Marino.
Some quality performances saw the likes of
CARMEN BASILIO, ARCHIE MOORE and
a long list of challengers from heavyweight
to flyweight.
Some of the names were:
Billy Graham, Bobby Dykes, Kenny Lane,
Yvon Durelle and Tommy "Hurricane" Jackson.
